The construction site of the Capim Branco Water Treatment Plant, in Uberlandia, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, implemented on March, 25 (25/03) new protective measures against the new coronavirus. BT Engenharia provided guidance to employees and service providers of BCC Consortium, to which it integrates, on how to prevent during the Covid-9 pandemic.
At the construction site, the occupational physician, Dr. Jose Eduardo Ortiz, provided information to workers, who since the beginning of the pandemic have already adopted security measures, such as the safety distance between co-workers.

Ortiz pointed out that it is very important to combat fake , newsduringthis, period by adopting correct measures based , on safe sources. "We are trying to promote the idea, of combating fake news that are being spread," , said the occupational physician.
Instructional posters and hand sanitizers were spread throughout the building site, The cafeteria was also reorganized with the intention that safe distance between workers is respected during meals.
Occupational Safety Engineer , Flávio Pedro Dias Tiago, highlighted the importance of making the measures clear, especially those regarding safety distance. “Today we took advantage of the presence of the occupational physician to inform all employees about the contamination, of the coronavirus, so that everyone has their safety protected" , concluded Flávio.

Employees welcomed the protective measures with relief. The person in charge of the site, Carlos Antônio de Oliveira, says that many workers had only superficial information about the new Coronavirus and the protective measures. "Not everyone is aware of the danger, so hearing the right information helps a lot".
The worker , Sebastião Martins Ferreira, summarized: “Sometimes people hear rumors, but they don't believe them. It is best to receive correct information and take it seriously.”
